1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Complete Property Renovations, a professional property renovation company based in Teesside. By accepting our quotation, signing a contract, or instructing us to begin work, you (the “Client”) agree to be bound by the following terms.
2. Definitions
“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to Complete Property Renovations.
“Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the person, business, or entity instructing us.
“Project” refers to the agreed scope of renovation, design, installation, or refit works.

3. Scope of Work
The services we will provide will be detailed in a formal written quotation. Only work explicitly stated in the quotation is included. Any changes or additional requests must be agreed in writing and may incur additional charges.
4. Planning Permission
It is the Client’s responsibility to obtain any required planning permission, building control approval, or listed building consent prior to the start of the works.
We will not be liable for any delays, fines, or enforcement action that result from failure to secure appropriate permissions.
If you are unsure whether planning permission is required, we recommend you consult with your local planning authority before instructing us.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Deposit Requirement
Unless otherwise agreed:
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total project cost is payable upon booking.
The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the works, and prior to the final handover.
5.2 Staged Payments (If Applicable)
For larger or phased projects, payments may be split into three parts:
33% payable at project commencement
33% payable at the agreed midpoint
34% payable upon project completion
This arrangement will be agreed in writing prior to commencement.
5.3 Late Payment Charges
All invoices are payable within 5 calendar days of the invoice date.
If payment is not received by the due date, a late payment charge of 3% of the total project value will be applied every 7 days that payment remains outstanding.
We reserve the right to suspend ongoing work until overdue payments are settled.
6. Client-Supplied Materials
If you choose to supply your own materials, fixtures, or fittings:
We will not be responsible for defects, delays, or failures arising from the quality, suitability, or compatibility of those materials.
No guarantees or warranties will be provided on any products or materials not supplied by us.
If such items delay or impact the progress of the project, the completion date may be revised accordingly.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Deposits are non-refundable.
Requests to reschedule must be made at least 14 days in advance and are subject to our availability.
If cancellation occurs after work has begun, the Client will be liable for the cost of all materials purchased and labour carried out up to the date of cancellation.
8. Guarantee and Warranty
We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the completion date unless otherwise stated. This covers workmanship only and does not apply to materials supplied by the Client.
